In 1850 he gave land at Barrington to Trinity for the endowment of a scholarship.

In pious memory of Francis Martin, a just, upright and generous man. He was a Senior Fellow of the College and Bursar, and then Vice-Master. He died in 1868 at the age of sixty-five. |
