Edward Bathurst

Edward Bathurst was the son of Sir Edward Bathurst, Baronet of Lechlade in the County of Gloucester and of Farrington in the County of Oxford.  Edward the younger was educated at Westminster School before matriculating at Trinity in 1666-7.  He won a scholarship in 1667, and graduated BA in 1669-70 and MA in 1673.

He was ordained priest in London in 1677, and was incorporated at Oxford in 1681.  He served as Vicar of four Trinity livings, all in Cambrideshire: Arrington (1687), Chesterton (1694), Trumpington (1695-1719), and Bottisham (1708-16).  He gave £40 towards the repair and decoration of this Chapel in 1707.

He was buried in this Chapel on 1st March 1718-9.
