George Modd
c. 1641-1722
George Modd was an exhibitioner at Charterhouse before coming to Trinity as a pensioner in 1662. He won a scholarship in 1664, graduated in 1665/6 and was elected a Fellow in 1668, taking his MA the following year.
He was ordained deacon and priest at Norwich in 1675, and incorporated at Oxford in 1677. He was Vicar of Chesterton in 1690, and of Trumpington, 1693-5 - both Trinity livings in Cambridgeshire. He then became Rector of Great Loughton in Buckinghamshire until his death, in 1722, at the age of 81.
He was Senior Proctor in 1692-3 and Taxor in 1693. In 1707 he contributed £40 towards the repair and beautification of this Chapel.
