Edmund Stubbe
1682-1754?
The son of another Edmund Stubbe, also a Fellow of Trinity, of Rendlesham, Suffolk, Edmund Stubbe was admitted to Trinity as a pensioner in 1700, aged 18, after schooling at Westminster. He won scholarship in 1701, graduated BA in 1703/4, and was elected Fellow in 1706 before proceeding MA in 1707. The same year he was ordained deacon at Lincoln, and priested in Ely three months later.
He was Vicar of Eaton Bray, Bedfordshire, 1714-31, and of Marsworth, Buckinghamshire, 1734- c. 49. He is recorded as still living in 1754. He donated £30 towards the repair and beautification of Trinity College Chapel in 1707.
