Singing on the River, 8 June, 8.45pm
'Singing on the River' is one of Trinity's best-loved traditions. The Choir of Trinity College sings a programme of madrigals and partsongs from punts moored on the river bank, with the audience seated on the grass on either side. Picnics and wine often add to the enjoyment, and the sound of a popping cork or a quacking duck occasionally interrupts the beautiful singing. As dusk descends, the punts are released and float away downstream as the last strains of 'Draw on, sweet night' waft through the evening air. An unmissable part of Cambridge life. Sunday 8 June, starting at 8.45pm.
