Beating of the Bounds – Hit Trinity with Sticks!

Fast becoming a College tradition, this ancient custom of hitting the parish boundaries with sticks is still practised in places ranging from rural Dorset to central London, a useful aide memoire before the invention of Google Maps. Our own procession takes us around the College boundaries to check that St John’s hasn’t encroached on our territory. Be prepared for singing, silliness and incense. Sticks provided. All welcome.
