The Courtiers of Grace
Clare Wilkinson voice
Jacob Heringman lute
Kirsty Whatley harp
Gawain Glenton cornetto / recorders
Stephen Wilkinson reader
The Courtiers of Grace commemorate the 500th anniversary of Luther's Ninety-Five Theses with a programme of music by Luther, Walther, Senfl, Josquin, Isaac and Praetorius, with readings from Luther's letters to his family.
In 1538, Luther celebrated Christmas with music at home with his family – music, made from the heart to the glory of God, was deeply important to him. Through letters and music The Courtiers of Grace tell the story of a loving husband, father, theologian and musican.
