3 IO. FISHER EP. ROFF. John Fisher, D.D., Bishop of Rochester, died 1535
4 C. TUNSTALL. EP. DUN. Cuthbert Tunstall, D.D., Bishop of Durham; died 1559
5 IO. REDMAN John Redman, D.D., Master of King’s Hall 1542-1546; first Master of Trinity College 1546-1551
6 M. BUCER Martin Bucer, Regius Professor of Divinity 1550, died 1551
7 IO. WHITGIFT ARCH. John Whitgift, Archbishop of Canterbury, Master 1567-1577; gave 151 manuscripts to the library, and plate; died 1604
8 T. NEVILE Thomas Nevile, DD, Master 1593-1615, Dean of Canterbury. Lent £3000 for new buildings, and at his own expenses erected a great part of the court named after him; also gave manuscripts and printed books to the library.
